Bulgarian essential oil producers: US tariffs will be paid by American consumers

Jin10 Data July 20th, Bulgaria is one of the world’s major lavender producers, and the United States is one of its main importers of lavender essential oil. As it is the lavender harvest season, essential oil production companies indicate that the tariffs imposed by the U.S. on other countries will be borne by American consumers. Georgiev, the head of a Bulgarian essential oil production company, stated that currently our exports to Europe account for about 40% to 45%, while exports to the U.S. and Canada account for 30% to 35%. The tariffs are paid by the users, not the exporters. We provide products to merchants willing to purchase, and if the buyer needs to pay additional tariffs, that cost will be borne by him and his customers; we will not sacrifice our profits.
