Ethereum is at a crossroads! SSV founder Alon Muroch talks about the "dangerous" divergence.
Gate News bot message, SSV Labs founder Alon Muroch candidly discussed the challenges currently facing Ethereum and why attracting value back in the next chapter of Ethereum is crucial.
He stated: "Most of the negative feedback currently received by Ethereum stems from the tokens themselves, rather than necessarily from the technology itself. I believe Ethereum needs to recognize this. The Ethereum community needs to acknowledge this and prioritize it, as this divergence will become very dangerous."
SSV Network has 100,000 Ethereum validators, accounting for about 10% of the total staked Ether (ETH), so Alon is very much looking forward to seeing the token price rise. His sense of urgency is evident.
"We do not pay enough attention to the narrative and reasons for holding Ether. This is the reason for the current state of Ether," he lamented.
He mentioned that the challenges Ethereum currently faces are not technical, but mainly narrative and a simple question: "Why would those who do not truly understand decentralization or TPS, and do not know how to distinguish between Solana and Cosmos, or more precisely, Ethereum's ordinary TradFi users, hold ETH? This is a very big question."
He explained that traditionally, Ethereum did not pay much attention to narrative, marketing, and public relations, but times have changed, and this has become impossible to ignore.
He also pointed out that in terms of technical capabilities, Solana has made more trade-offs than Ethereum. It is technically not as mature as Ethereum, especially in terms of decentralization, censorship resistance, and stability. Nevertheless, they are still doing a lot of other excellent work, such as interacting with developers, self-promotion, explaining the philosophy of Solana, and so on. Ethereum needs to incorporate some of those experiences into their work.
